Week 1:
I woke up and it was raining. What a shitty day to start with. But, all in all, I made a promise to myself and I'm not going to break it.
I LOVE food. All of it. Good, bad, super bad, salty, sweet, loaded with mayo, loaded with cheese, loaded with grease, loaded with fat, meaty, vegetabley, sour, sloppy, neat, fried, baked, broiled... I could go on.
Its unfortunate though, my protruding gut, gigantic ass and the colony of dimples on my thighs don't agree that all food is good food.
So therefore, I'm going to give up at least one thing each week until I am only eating the super healthy crap that I hate as the weight dwindles away.
I apologize that I don't sound completely enthused about it; HealthyChoice just hasn't ever been my forte.
I'm giving up... Chocolate & Soda!
Chocolate - So there is this drawer of chocolates that is usually full to the brim that an attorney here provides for all of us.
Boredom = eating.
Me + bored at work = chocolate frenzy.
I have decided I will not, no matter what, dive into the drawer and eat until I find work to do. Chocolate is now banned from my world and no matter how many times it whispers to me from that dreaded 'candy drawer' I will not answer.
Soda - I have decided to give up two things this week as a way to kick start my brain into full motivation. Soda. There's nothing good about it, right? Well except for the all favorable caffeine boost. While I like to slam back a mouth full of caffeine mixed with cherry and cola flavoring, I have decided that it is not good for me and thus, I shall retire from drinking such evil liquid.
Water will move in its place, and if I need a jolt --- I'll just invest in some kick-ass NoDoz.
I have already made some changes in my diet at home. I decided to buy fat-free yogurt and force myself to eat in the morning. I have switched to buying myself Skim Milk -- totally fat free and free of taste... But whatever, I'm sure I'll eventually adjust.
All in all, I am happy and can give up those things. I enjoy them, but again, my waistline doesn't.

There are a lot of alternatives that ARE ok to have and that taste 99.9999% the same.
Soda... Diet Soda! Not all of it, but you will find that some brands probably taste BETTER then the ones packed with sugar. I'm a big fan of Coke Zero now. Used to only drink the 'real' stuff, but now if I drink the 'real' stuff, the sugar in it makes my teeth feel horrid and like my mouth is caked with gump...
Chocolate.... The BEST sugar free chocolate in the world is a brand called "Blues" by the Sugarless Confectionary Company... I'm pretty sure you can get that over in the US as well, or you can order online. It tastes EXACTLY like real chocolate, and it's ALSO gluten free as well as sugar free. It's fucking awesome.
Koolaid... Best sugar free koolaid is Lime. But that's my opinion. The other sugar free ones I find taste rather gross with the fake sugar, but lime seems to taste exactly the same... Bonus is I fucking love lime cordial ... (thats what we call it here in Aus)
Ice cream.... sugar free ice cream... no longer do you have to suffer through the diet shit that isn't soft and fluffy... instead feels liek you're sucking on crystals.... In the last 10 years they've actually found different sugar substitutes that give different textures. And I must say, the BEST ice cream I have ever tasted happens to be in my freezer right now and is definitely 100% sugar free! There HAS to be an option for you in the states... Although Australia is a fairly "health" concious country...even though many of us are fat-arses... much like myself hahahahaha
Um...... Make sure you eat a lot of protein or get protein supplements... There is nothing worse than losing fat AND muscle... you need to keep your muscle mass to keep the 'trim' side of weight loss...
Dunno if any of that helps much, but I found the best way to lose weight is more protein, less carbs. Only limit your carbs to breakfast, maybe a piece of wholemeal toast or some oats? No carbs after breakfast! And you definitely have to do the 6 small meals a day! The counting points and all that is an easy way to lose it, but not really a good way to control your habits...
Anyway, enough rambling... lmao! xxx
